Ciao! I'm Ermanno. I'm a PhD student in the Division of Robotics, Perception and Learning at KTH Royal Institute of Technology 🇸🇪 advised by Prof. Iolanda Leite. I'm interested in how robots can build and maintain human-centric understanding of dynamic indoor spaces. My research employs 3D Scene Graphs and Continual Learning to help robots interpret activities, adapt over time, and interact more reliably with people.
Previously, I graduated from Sapienza University of Rome 🇮🇹 with a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, where I was selected for the Honour Programme in Computer Engineering (top 10 students). I continued my studies at Sapienza in the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering, earning a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics and again being selected for the Honour Programme (top 10 students). During my Master's thesis, I joined KTH 🇸🇪 as a Research Assistant under the supervision of Iolanda Leite.
During my studies, I received several awards, which you can view here.
